1.25cc Model Diesel Engine

Not having finished making the pattern for the Sparey diesel I decided to do a bit of hogging out of a 2" dia aluminium bar, this engine was designed by a Mr C.C.Whitehead and appeared in the Model Engineer on 7th October 1977. The progress so far can be seen below.

The crankcase at least looks more like one now, and although the setup looks flimsy I was only taking light cuts.

Here the crankcase has been bored out to take the cylinder liner.
