Coolant Tank

This was an idea I adopted from a friend of mine Captain Bob, an old emulsion container acts as the coolant tank and the coolant is gravity fed down to the cutter as shown below

The coolant then runs off the table onto the tray below and via an outlet into a bottle trap available from any D-I-Y store, a magnet has been placed in the bottom of the bowl as an extra help to stop particles been carried over into the old 5 litre oil container which in this case even has a sight window built in. The fluid is then pumped back up to the container above by a 12v caravan water pump as shown below.

The thin tubing is the pumped outlet up to the header tank and the white cable is the power feed. The pump is only switched on when the header tank requires topping up, caravan pumps are not made for continuous running. As can be seen below there is a good flow from the gravity feed. Here the camera flash has frozen the movement, this was not a staged shot, and the finish is fine and bright.
